You’d think a paid game that sold millions of copies wouldn’t need to sell out to freaking subway of all places.
Just because you can make more money, doesn’t mean that you should. This kind of stuff just kills brand image. I liked the time I spent playing Ark Raiders but I probably won’t go back to it or buy Embarks next title if they are just going to fall into brand integrations to milk money from its players
Considering every studio making AAA games is gambling and value engineering their games as hard as possible to make them into destiny 2s (pre collapse) or arc raiders or fortnight, its really surprising they would kill their golden goose.
Theres no guarantee they’ll make a second game this succesful if they kill this one… in fact its near certain they wont.
