Title basically says it all. I needed variable stiffness for a project I was working on, I grabbed a roll of siraya tech tpu air thinking this was already a feature that existed. Turns out its not, and instead of redesigning the part I just made the feature.

    Well unfortunately the XL is not an IDEX, just a toolchanger. It’d be cool if it were both though.

    My workplace got one, and it’s just not performing like a $5k machine should. I’ve built a Voron 2.4R2 from scratch that was way more enjoyable to build than the assembled machine we received from Prusa. They clearly did not test every toolhead they sent and Printed Solid sent the wrong replacement parts. I’m still waiting on the correct parts.

    So despite having it for a couple of weeks, it has still not passed our own checks, and I haven’t put the enclosure on it yet, so that’s even more testing needed after that.

    TPU keeps jamming on it, and I haven’t found the sweet spot for tension on the extruder gears. Most people recommend not feeding TPU through the runout sensor or using the filament holder on the side of the machine.

    Since it is not my personal machine and since it needs to work for professional projects, I have less patience for these issues than I would otherwise. Especially as the market has several other toolchanger options now for far less money.
