Forums are for asking questions. This got plenty of engagement. I also enjoyed reading other people’s thoughts on the question.
Yes they could take the time to install both and try them, which I suggested in my response, but it’s faster to ask the question and get feedback. Also, differing opinions can highlight features they didn’t know existed, or different ways of customizing they hasn’t thought of, or that perhaps one DE is run by people that aren’t good people. There are plenty of reasons to ask the question, and perhaps it’s lazy engagement, but it’s engagement.
