New York media has had a field day digging into the backgrounds of socialist leaders like NYC-DSA Cochair Gustavo Gordillo. But what exactly is the “gotcha” — that some people who lead comfortable, secure lives want security and comfort for everyone?
This is what gets me about the whole “but JB Pritzker’s toilets” argument. The guy is constantly pushing policies to lift up the less fortunate, protect the marginalized, and improve life for his constituents. Taking advantage of any tax loopholes available, which is what we all do, is not a gotcha.
