A few more from yesterday evening. Never tire of photographing these stunning birds. The Long Eared Owl gets its name from the ear tufts which are feathers and not real ears. They help the owl look like a tree branch.

    They are so expressive. I love them so much!

    It was also fun watching all the little kids admire my owl display, and so many liked the Long Ear because while it was unfamiliar with them, so many instantly associated it with a rabbit’s ears and they instantly adored it.
