I feel genuinely sad the modern world has us miss out on something as beautiful as the stars in all their glory, something that always promised wonder longer than we’ve been a sentient species.

For uncountable millenia, the milky way was the standard night time viewing, and we’ve lost it in the last couple centuries :(
