The Prydain Chronicles by Lloyd Alexander. I have come back to it as an adult more than once and I’m always thrilled that it holds up. The growth of the main character through the series and his commitment to being a good person makes me come back to it over and over.
I love these books too, I first read them in my teens, I was so sad when Coll died and Math son of Mathonwy, the redemption of Achren, and how Taran becomes a man
I also love the borrowing/adaptation of Celtic mythology and places. Great stuff
