Any time any “alternative facts” are presented against things like the cause of the Civil War or the holocaust, even 100% sarcastically, it’s important to follow them up with what actually happened. Otherwise you end up with a The_Donald situation, where idiots who can’t tell the difference between parody and reality end up in positions where they can legitimately rewrite history to fit their own narrative.
