Awkwardly. I’m not particularly conventionally attractive so I don’t get that many men hitting on me, but it still happens a few times a year and I am SO. BAD. at dealing with it because I never really learned to.
My wife usually protects both of us from it, but I recently found myself agreeeing to maybe going for a hike in a forest preserve that like no one ever goes to with some random dude? So fucking sketchy, and I’m gay and married… thankfully I did get out of that.

I’m sorry, but I had to laugh at this a little bit because it sounds like me. My sister likes to say that I could get tricked into joining a cult, not because I believed them, but because I was there already and too awkward to leave once I noticed what was going on. She’s definitely not right, but she’s also not tooooooooo far off.
