minus-square@BearPearlink4•1 year ago Whatsapp is more popular. It has a lot of scammers. Especially crypto scammers. A little bit more difficult to use. There are so many features and it can kind lf get overwhelming. Messages are not end to end encrypted by default.

The popularity of WhatsApp is /why/ WhatsApp is popular. That’s just kind of how it works with messaging apps. The only reason anyone has WhatsApp is because someone they wanted or needed to talk to was using WhatsApp.
