I too was waitlisted. I run exclusively Linux at this point though, so happy for them to get the vr experience there ironed out.
Considering a pimax dream air se but, different niche (I have a good desktop though) and I’m not sure the slam tracking is good enough and how compatible it is with Linux.
I am halfway through, I’ve got 2 PCs and one has been converted to linux only. I do some VR on it, but it’s a struggle.
I’ve got a Quest 3. Steam Link / Steam VR is completely unusable for me. I am using WiVRn on linux, along with WayVR for the UI/desktop access.
It has problems on a few games but it works great on the rest (Beat Saber, Synth Riders, Walkabout Minigolf,…)
Meta’s basically lost all interest in VR after they got that nobody wanted their shitty metaverse. The lack of Quest support by both steam and meta is a major reason for me to want the Frame. Especially for Linux.
