You’re correct. Hospitals request it because it speeds up maternity stays, drives up bills, doctors are advised to because it has less “risk” for malpractice. Long term health issues increase with c-sections.
Add on the fact that black and brown people are over prescribed c sections in the US and the systemic racism is clear.
