As a consolation, have yourself German versions of Francoise Hardy’s ‘Tous les garçons et les filles’ and ‘Comment te dire adieu’: ‘Peter und Lou’ and ‘Was mach’ ich ohne dich’ (though the latter is a cover of ‘It Hurts to Say Goodbye’, for what it’s worth, but quite different in delivery).
