I’m not super fond of eminent domain but in this case, PG&E is a massive corrupt corporation and they can handle it. Not quite the same as bulldozing a whole minority community to put in a highway.
honestly utilities to me make no sense being for profit. there is no way to have real competition. I mean there is if you can have several seperate sets of infrastructure but that is not going to happen and would be redic inefficient.
