Turkey in the straw has a more complicated history. It may have a benign origin, but it also definitely has a history with some awful lyrics and context. Pop goes the weasel is clearly superior.

We’ve got to retire that standard ice cream truck jingle, too.
For anyone else who has a moment like I did: pop goes the weasel is fine.
Turkey in the straw has a more complicated history. It may have a benign origin, but it also definitely has a history with some awful lyrics and context.
