I know the subject has come up before, just wanted to add another reason to the pile. Their instance has been setting its users’ post timestamps 15 minutes into the future so they’ll be parked at the top of the “New” sort order for longer.
Examples:
It’s always possible that they’ve done this accidentally somehow though.
Isn’t the instance just the latest in the line of EH regens?
Not sure why it has been allowed to stick around for so long
?

It was a troll/far-right instance that did the JAQ/Sealioning thing to fly under the radar for a while which then got heavily defederated once the mask slipped and they went all in on flooding lemmy with horrible shit (it was bad enough various instance admin tools were created to combat it). Every now and again a new instance pops up doing the same kind of script and they used to end up getting defederated pretty quickly. Not confirmed, but it also looks like it’s just one or a few people sockpuppeting multiple accounts to make it seem more legitimate.
This instance carries a lot of the same warning flags, but didn’t get the same treatment this time round for some reason
