Bollywood annually produces more than twice the amount of movies that Hollwood produces. They universally appeal to the lowest common denominator viewer, are overly long to offer a good “value proposition”, the singalongs are unbearably cringe, overacting is rampant, as are tired tropes. Whether it be comedy, drama, or regional art pieces, it’s just not good.
I haven’t seen many Indian movies but I have seen one that destroys your premise. RRR. That movie is absolutely fantastic on a number of levels.
