Why would you hide your pride and joy? Do you conceal your beautifully carved table legs??

I do, of course… All those exposed, slutty table legs would horn up all my dinner guests.

Ideally youd run it through a crawlspace, basement, or attic. Drill a hole at either end through the floor, pull the cable, and seal the hole with silicone caulk.

You can use adhesive cable management tubes to stick to the wall and they’ll hold the cables in place and look a little neater. I think Ikea sells them but you can likely find them anywhere that has that kind of stuff

What they can’t see won’t hurt them. You can patch holes before that move out visit.

Your only option then is surface mounting, really. Drill holes through the walls to make it as short and well/hidden as you can. You may be able to take advantage of the spaces between floor/ceiling joists in one axis only. You can also try to hide it behind cabinets.

I bought a flat cable, glued it to the wall at the corner seam, very hidden. Only takes a drop of glue every foot or so. Easy to turn corner, etc. worked well for years at an apt, new home is wired already, so network setup is in bedroom closet.
