“Yes me lord, you deserve 1/3 of our grain and our women me lord. I only live to serve.” These types have been around a long time, at least as long as religion took on the form of demigods’ blessings for loyalty, but probably much longer. It’s ironic that it’s the people who grandstand about their guns being taken away by liberals but do nothing in the face of actual tyranny, but I think deep down we always knew that. They would even give up their guns to the right conman, or really just anyone who promised to also take the guns of those who look different than them (if they thought they had them).
