I started a community for images and gifs, and while images seem to upload just fine I can’t get .mp4 files to upload properly. If you click the link it works, but the gif won’t load in the thumbnail, tab, or comment page. Is this a site-wide issue, or am I doing something wrong?
Oh didn’t notice that sorry. But it looks like Lemmy knows how to embed the gfycat video (same for PeerTube videos), ie you can play that video directly on Lemmy, but it doesn’t indeed show a thumbnail.
