Mine would be creating pen and paper ciphers for my made up secret communication needs.

I absolutely love working on photocopiers, even though it’s my job.

My friends say I’m a hoot in the discord!

Those things amaze me. The way they manage to route just one sheet of paper through such an intricate and precise maze, I consider it next to miraculous that they don’t jam on every second operation.

It’s probably the feed tires. You can get false jams if they’re slipping.

yea it generally is the paper roller, but you can only change that so often before you give up on it. The most fickel thing I’ve ever messed with

The bigger ones transport multiple sheets at once! The ones I work on can have up to 5 sheets running through the copier at once! It’s really cool.

When you’re printing 11x17 duplex (2 sided) it’ll slide the paper under the machine whole it’s rotating it. You can’t see it, but I know it’s happening.

Nice username. And you picked the right job!

I wound up being my office’s printer guy so I got to know probably a fraction of what you know, and it was a great problem solving experience.

        Thanks!

That’s basically how I got into the industry actually. Every problem is like a big puzzle I get to solve, and I get to help people, so it feels good at the end of the day

Toner has such a unique smell to it.

The only way I can describe it is that it smells silly.
