'Murica-style so-called “christians” don’t care what the Bible says, either. Especially the four Gospels. They outright reject anything it says and implies on how to treat their fellow man.
“When a stranger sojourns with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong. You shall treat the stranger who sojourns with you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.
Unsurprisingly, this is a commandment the religious right almost universally ignores.
I mean, I don’t think we’ll see Trump running on a campaign to allow migrants to vote, apply for welfare, or outright give them passports the moment they cross the border.
Hypocrisy is also a sin. The christian right are invariably hypocrites. They pretend to espouse values they don’t believe in, then they judge others despite being deeply flawed themselves. It’s not even an itty bitty sin. Hypocrisy is caused by pride and pride goes before a fall. And to top it off, they don’t even believe they’re being prideful. You can’t ask for forgiveness for something you fundamentally don’t believe is wrong. So according to their own religious text, they’re all going to hell.
The religious right (that is the ministries behind the white Christian nationalist movement), like the Republican party, believe in loyalty over principle that is bigotry made doctrine. It’s proper to forgive those who are fellow members of the movement while condemning everyone on the outside. That is to say women, blacks, atheists, counter-culture enthusiasts and eventually those insufficiently loyal or patriotic within the movement will never be worthy of inclusion.
An evangelical fundamentalist industry, profit-driven and power-hungry by any means necessary, relying on slick hysterical propaganda to keep “the flock” scared and hooked… with an open wallet. One of the festering boils in a social disease that aims to keep society weak and regressive.
I don’t know the part of the bible where Jesus won’t help a women’s dying kid until she groveled and begged at his feet while calling herself an ethnic slur matches up pretty well with what I associate with Christianity. As well as his whole with us or against us attitude.

A fun one is Leviticus 19: 33-34

I mean, most people know the good Samaritan parable but many Christians don’t really follow it.
On the other hand, some people do some incredible mental backflips to justify the story doesn’t mean you have to help outgroups.

It’s a facet of fascism.

I have heard them serious argue that it applied to converts.
