Utah might be getting a major league baseball team and I couldn’t help but wonder about names. Seems like so many are overused.
Me personally, I like Rabbid Jackalopes (unless they were based in Ogden in which case tweaker seems appropriate), but I’m sure they wouldn’t pick that. What about the rest of Lemmy? What name would get you to cheer?
Edit: revisiting this as I actually came up with a better name: The Gila Monsters
They live in southern Utah, provide a unique name, and would make a great mascot. They also haven’t been politicized yet
Washington RedTails is superior to the Commanders.
Sounds like a good name. They have the nationals for baseball, and the capitals for hokey, so I get commanders too. But retail is a sweet name

You could also fit it in easily to the httr fight song lyrics. Commanders is just so generic and boring. Even football team was a better name. Still I’m glad they changed the name.
I’m personally more partial to the Washington Redhogs or the Washington Groundhogs.
