These are the “The Lara Croft” top-down games:

  • Guardian of Light
  • Temple of Osiris

Not to be confused with ‘Tomb Raider’ games.

Collection is coming to Nintendo Switch on June 29.

Preorders are open now.

I haven’t actually played the originals, so don’t know how they hold up. Going to try them on Switch.

The originals you can play on any old computer, can either get it free off the browser, you just need dosbox, or off the steamstore(installs dosbox for you), and then away you go. May want to use a controller.

The games are extremely glitchy, often at times unbearable to look at. The ambiance is where the beauty is at, as well as the clever puzzles and platforming. The level design is incredible.

Tomb Raider 1 - 3 and unfinished business are true videogame relics.

Ah, sorry for the misunderstanding, I was talking about these Lara Croft game. Never played them when they were released.

As for Tomb Raider games, I have played pretty much all of them, except for the last two in the latest trilogy. Rise of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Both are in my to-play list though, just haven’t gotten around them yet.

I haven’t revisited the originals in a very long time. I can imagine they must be terrible to look at. And I doubt the gameplay would hold up either.
