I imagine it doesn’t need to be completodestroyed, just unusable anymore. They hit the side, so I imagine the wheels being complete toast, so it’s not going anywhere anymore. And since it is burning quite fiercely, I imagine there is lots of stuff not functioning any longer.
I’m also no expert but I imagine the idea here is to disable the vehicle such that it requires towing. If they try to tow it, the Ukrainians take out the towing vehicle when it arrives and now there are two vehicles that need towing. Repeat until the Russians give up on towing it.
