I’m not happy with the performance, especially when clicking ‘Post’ it takes too long.

First I will upgrade this VPS from 2cpu/4GB to 4cpu/16GB.

Then I will tune the database (more shared_buffers to start with)

After that I’ll see what more I can tune, together with the Lemmy admin channel.

    Given the influx of users, and the general scramble with server restarts, it feels like the early day of forums again. I’ll not be complaining about it!

      Yeah it really takes you back lmfao, I think it’s great that people are starting to see the benefits of decentralization again, I had started flirting with self hosting last year and have like 20+ docker containers running on a pi 4 now.
