I’m thinking that monthly is about the right pace for this community.

Anything that feels significantly off topic, feel free to post here. Tesla is the focus of this community.

Twitter, SpaceX, and other Elon Musk behavior is mildly on-topic, but I’ll delete and/or lock topics if we fill up with “too much” Twitter/SpaceX talk (to my subjective preferences). But feel free to make a topic if you’re not sure.

I do wonder how much of it is just the degeneration of Elon Musk’s reputation though.

In 2018, we had to make communities like /r/RealTesla ourselves because of how many stans existed. But today in 2023, even the main /r/Tesla subreddits seem to be critical of Musk… with more-and-more of them apologetic about Musk (but still trying to convince us that the car is good).

I’ll blow your mind for a minute. In 2018 I wouldn’t have joined RealTesla. In 2019 I was invited by DM to the group, and passed because I saw a bunch of zealots losing their minds over the smallest things. By the end of 2019 I was in RealTesla because the binary mod on the other sub went on his power trip banning anybody describing the reality of AP or “smart summon”. Heh. It’s funny how many people that dude sent over the RealTesla with his own antics and how quickly people realized what had been going on at Tesla all along.

But I’m sure you’re right. Elon’s own behavior has made the job of pointing out the glaring issues much easier to normal people. The weebs and zealots still deny reality, but their numbers are dwindling quickly. Faster than the sales figures are dropping for Model 3!
