    I haven’t known a ton of farmers but they work when the work needs to be done. Gotta turn the onion field irrigation on at 3am, you’re getting up at 3am. Maybe you’ll get to nap later.

      It’s so inneficient in the summer to not water at 2-6am in most of the country. You either automate that shit or get out of bed well before the sun’s up.

        Gotta be careful about watering too early. If the leaves can’t dry you’ll get fungus on your plants. Ask me how I know. 😬

          It’s 90 before the sun comes up around me for slices of the summer. I don’t worry much about fungus in the summer. Also do drip irrigation automated though.

            even with drip irrigation you can have sprayers that cause fungus (that’s what my setup is). but yeah I guess if you’re above 90º before the sun comes up then that isn’t too much of a problem.
