I absolutely love Shirokuma Cafe, and I wouldn’t mind finding more anime like this. The coziness of the cafe itself, the humor, the animal characters, the ending songs…it’s all so great. But I’m not really up to date on what else is out there, so I don’t know where to start. Any thoughts?
I haven’t watched that one, but for quality slice of life, Yuru Camp, Mitsuboshi Colors, Sakura Quest, New Game, Machikado Mazoku and A Place Further than the Universe, come to mind off the top of my head.
If the workplace setting is your thing, maybe start with Sakura Quest or New Game?
+1 for Yuru Camp△.
It’s truly is a unique show that redefines Iyashikei to a whole new level.
I’ll add that if you’d like YC, there is also YC OVAs, Heya Camp△, HC OVA, season 2, and the movie.
You don’t *have* to watch them, but they’re very comfy and wholesome. Highly recommended.
And it’s a show that respects introverts. So many slice of life series revolve around “fixing” a lonely character by them gaining a huge group of friends.
In Yuru Camp, the loner character is still a loner at the end of season 2. Rin is friends with the rest of the cast, but prefers spending most of her time alone, and the show never presents that as a bad thing. It’s so refreshing!
I’m a big fan of Yuru Camp as well! I’m not familiar with any of the others though, so I’ll check them out! Thanks! :D
