I, being someone who works with computers, have had some luck with most of my favorite subs being here already.

Despite that, some of my hobby ones still aren’t here. NFL exists, but it’s the same as nothing so far. Soccer I couldn’t find at first, maybe today it already does? Also, no sign of fantasy football.

I also followed a bunch of History subs, but looks like most people in Lemmy only care about science and technology.

Tell us, what is missing for you?

I’m waiting for someone to re-create r/france here, as it seems you need an engineer degree to understand how to setup your instance :(

In general you don’t need to set up your own instance to create a Community /c/France, you can just create it on any existing instance that allows Community creation by users. I notice you’re on beehaw who have decided to limit Community creation to Admins for now.

That said, many regional non-english speaking communities have made their own instances (feddit.de, feddit.dk, feddit.ir), maybe it has something to do with limiting language used?

While you need to be computer savvy to create an instance, creating a community is as simple as creating a subreddit. I created /c/[email protected], and I’m not even in STEM.
