Translated from source:

🇬🇧British and 🇫🇷French mass media are interested in what type of cruise missiles the Ukrainian pilots sent the vessels “Minsk” and “Rostov-on-Don” after “Moscow”.

It is quite logical, because you cannot think of better advertising for a national arms manufacturer.

I report!

Aviation ✈️ Air Force has two types of cruise missiles provided by partners to fight the occupier.

We hang the British “Storm Shadow” under the left wing of the Su-24M, the French “Scalp” - under the right

Both rockets work great, no chance for the occupier!

Under the wings of our bombers there will be a place for the German “Taurus”. Then it will be possible to continue the “city game” even more effectively.

🤝 Once again, I thank our Western partners for the weapons and equipment that help destroy the aggressor and liberate Ukrainian land!

🇺🇦 Together - to victory!

No, nothing about that crap is “logical”.

They are both the same cruise missile with a different paint-job, originally co-developed by a british and a french company and for quite some time only produced by a single multi-national company.

If anyone believes that production for either the british or french missile is completely done “in-house” instead of sourcing exactly the same components from exactly the same suppliers, I have a bridge to sell you…

That’s just bullshit nationalism over which name your military is using for the same item.

Are we comparing to see which country send the best Leopard-2A4 next… Spoiler: they are also the same model with some instrument labels translated

Yeah, but the french ones just feel much nicer, it’s a more refined explosion and not that plebeian bang of the British ones.

Only cruise missiles from the SCALP region of France can officially be called SCALP cruise missiles. /s

Please tell me the French also have their own more refined made-up backwards acronym for the warhead to compete with “BROACH”…

No, nothing about that crap is “logical”.

I think you’re missing the point and the tongue-in-cheek response from the source. This isn’t about technology, its about geopolitics.

Those asking are looking for a value judgment from Ukraine on which nation is better/more helpful/more supportive, etc. Russian consumers of this answer are looking for whom to retaliate against. With the answer “France under one wing, UK under the other” Ukraine is giving the answer to both its partner nations that they are equal, while also giving coverage to each nation so they don’t get singled out by Russian responses. Even if Russia chooses to “respond” to both nations, they would have to split their efforts to do so halving the effectiveness.

My answer -as should have obvious by the very sentence you quoted- was refering to the question:

🇬🇧British and 🇫🇷French mass media are interested in what type of cruise missiles the Ukrainian pilots sent the vessels “Minsk” and “Rostov-on-Don” after “Moscow”.

It is quite logical, because you cannot think of better advertising for a national arms manufacturer.

No, British and French mass media asking such a stupid question when no “national arms manufacturer” exists, because both are the same missile produced by a multi-national company, should take several steps back and rethink if journalism is the correct occupation for them. There are always jobs to find in advertising or political campaigning *sigh*
