My model 3 long range is sitting in my garage. I charged it to 80% on Thursday night and unplugged it on Friday morning. It’s just been sitting since that time unplugged but undriven. It’s down to 51% on Tuesday morning. Down 30% in 4 days seems kind of bad. Sentry mode is on despite me having it set to not be on at home. Still seems like a lot of energy usage for a couple of low resolution cameras. Anyone else noticed this substantial energy usage when not in use?

Sentry mode doesn’t allow the main battery to sleep and will drain it. We recently left our Y for ten days with sentry mode off, and the battery barely moved.

I don’t know when I’ll have another chance to test this on mine but thanks.

Ok so I turned off sentry mode last night after posting my last reply.

12hrs later the battery is down 1%.

Need to make sure that sentry mode is off at home.

              Yeah that makes sense.

I’ve actually managed to let it sit unused for a few more days with sentry mode off. 48% now.

So this is better to see.

Actually has me wondering about a 4 day trip I did earlier in the year. Got home with air 10% left. Sentry mode was on the whole time. I probably could of gotten home with 40% if I’d left sentry mode off. It’s a power hog.

Sentry mode drains the battery about 1% every two hours, give or take.
