Match Preview

Alexander-Arnold and Thiago are still unavailable due to injury and were left out of the group named by Jürgen Klopp for the contest in Austria.

The former picked up a hamstring injury against Aston Villa ahead of the September international break, while the latter is yet to make an appearance this season as he continues his long-term recovery.

Liverpool will debut their new Nike third kit v LASK.

Reds captain Virgil van Dijk is back in contention for selection, however, after serving a domestic suspension for the last two Premier League fixtures.

Deadline-day signing Ryan Gravenberch has also been included in the travelling party and could be in line to make his first start for the club.

LASK, meanwhile, have no fresh fitness concerns to consider ahead of the clash with Klopp’s men, but several members of their squad remain sidelined.

Tobias Anselm, Peter Michorl, Lenny Pintor, Adil Taoui and Philipp Wiesinger will not be involved for the Austrian Bundesliga outfit.

“It’s a great honour for us to play this game tomorrow,” said LASK coach Thomas Sageder at his pre-match press conference on Wednesday.

“After our last away game we are fit again, regenerated very well and prepared very well I think. The team is very motivated and very concentrated. We are very looking forward to tomorrow’s game.”

Sageder added: "We have a certain procedure before every game, my colleagues analysed the previous five games [of Liverpool] and then we pick around eight to 10 scenes we are showing the players.

“But Liverpool are very flexible tactically so it’s very hard to prepare the team against them – that’s why we are focused on ourselves.”

    Great 2nd half.

Lots of good performances. But a lot of performances were a little bipolar (some things were great other things were awful): Diaz, Elliot and Gravenberch spring to mind here. Sometimes they did mind boggling amazing football (Eg Elliot for our first two goals, gravenberch for the 2nd), but sometimes just too sloppy.

    7/10 today.

It was also our hardest game in the group stage. So all in all, I am happy.
