Just looked at some of those accounts and they’re less than 2 years old. My guess is, they never used anything other than the official app so to them, nothing will change. Honestly, let reddit keep those users. I’d rather have a conversation with someone who doesn’t have the attention span of a TikTok user.
Look I am one, but think it is bitter millennials that joined Reddit ten years ago and want old Reddit and working apps. The new new generation are used to new Reddit and corporate millennials are elders now.
I think that it would vary by other demographics, too. I don’t personally know any other people around my age (Older Gen Z) who still use reddit, especially after all of this went down. I understand that my personal experience is only one out of billions, so I’m also not necessarily saying that you’re wrong about that either.
I don’t know, I guess I just wanted to reassure you that not all of the new new generation is following reddit blindly. Many of us are strongly protesting over the principal of how reddit treats their mods and users. Many posters don’t feel the need to include their ages, so I’m not sure we can get a fully accurate read on the age groups just yet.
Omg me too. I know they are just human, and are susceptible to the same crap logic I am, but I can’t put myself there. My only thought, is that they just don’t know. The more you know, the harder you have to work, to maintain some kind of engagement in your life to feed the monster you created in your head. These people are fine floating, and tbh, I envy them AND pity them simultaneously.
I’m pretty sure they did. Years before they used to disclose how many server uptime hours were paid for by Reddit gold. Nowadays they hide all that info so they are no longer accountable.
Lol I’m sorry but these people are idiots. Who shills for rich corporations and lives a happy life?
IDK man, I want to understand them but I can’t.

Lol, in this kinds of threads there is always the bitter milennial, that can bare that times change.
because surprise! those kind of users are here as well! (like me :0 )
Like just because someone is not an elder person will be in favour of corporate fuckery?

Nothing is too big to fail.
I’m a Gen Z, cheers
I know, it still is sad, the news about Sync for Reddit coming to Lemmy (Sync for Lemmy) helps with the saddens though.

Reddit never has made a profit. So… they’re not rich.
I’m not sure that shilling for a poor corporation makes things much better though.
Lol. They feel very strongly.
