    There’s this general problem:

    My password was too long for Sync and Voyager and now also Boost; I’ve been using Jerboa since it worked in that client.

    Since Boost also had the issue I changed my password to a shorter one.

    The old one was something like

    Friday-Ramble-Patriot-Apricot5-Tractor-Litigator-Shove-Antivirus
    

    … and the new one is shorter and is causing no issues.

        I can confirm that very long passwords do not work. I use a password manager with randomly generated 64-character passwords (or 32-character when 64 is not supported) and I cannot log in to either of the lemmy instances I use from within boost. Login works fine on their webui of course

          After some investigation, the passwords on Lemmy are limited to 60 chars. If you created an account with 64-character password, only the first 60 were used. Type the first 60 chars of your password and it might work
