Companies use windows for 2 reasons : the people in charge of the decision knows nothing about computers (the cybersecurity rules are for them, not for the tech savvy guys running stuff) ; Linux is free, which companies deciders don’t like, because they can’t sue a company they haven’t paid.
You don’t know how things work in companies apparently. IT crews have no decision power. But there’s a reason why all the back end and network runs on Linux. Enterprise windows is a nightmare to setup and maintain but you “need” it because the idiots in charge refuse to use anything but windows shit.
The dense guys are those who refuse to use Linux for no reasons, not the other way around.
unfortunately, that’s also my experience. I have to stick with Windows because of a few programs I use professionally, and dual-booting would be annoying
It’s not hate. It’s just that when you know things, windows is simply insufferable and not working. And they make the system worse with each update.
“not working”?
amazing perspective
If Windows is soo “insufferable when you know things”, then why are the majority of companies running Windows with Active Directory?
You’d think that IT crews are the ones in the know and are the ones with input on which solutions they present to their company?
Some of you Linuxians are so incredibly dense. But sure, circle jerk away.

Bullshit

Somehow windows users manage to be more irrationally attached to their company brand than Linux users.
Windows users are not the ones who spam the lemmy front page with WiNdOwS bAd memes
But Linux users are suffering computer illiteracy every day they’re working. You can ban a user or a community if it bothers you so much.
I already did.
