the rating system in previous ps store’s wasn’t exactly… useful

sony have so many metrics about games, why not expose some of those. “most purchasers play for more than ten hours”, “high number of purchasers continue playing for more then six months”, “average play session: 45 minutes”

or hell just let people tag games, ps store has the same genre buckets it’s always had

I don’t expect Sony to ever introduce something that elaborate, they are always doing the bare minimum and that’s it.

Rating option is rather simple form of feedback but it’s better than nothing. First, you can see an overall rating that may give you a shallow insight into the game’s reception by the player base. And I hope it’s used in customizing your recommendations. Playstation is the only platform where I allow processing of my usage data etc. and what Sony does with it? Recommends me some crap I don’t care about “based on other game I played” - no, I didn’t. I just added this monthly PS+ game to my library… (-‸ლ)

meh, I used to think that, then with the PS5 we got

        • per-user game stats
        • HDR switching off if the game doesn’t natively support it
        • Trophies with progress
        • startup beep mute
        • atmos support
        • 1440p output support
        • discord voice chat support

        – this is all stuff that happened because players asked for it, not because sony was doing the bare minimum.

five years ago i might agree with you on that one, not now, they do things. this is them doing things right now, the bare minimum is not to have ratings at all
