Sweden’s prime minister has summoned the head of the military to discuss how the armed forces can help police deal with an unprecedented crime wave that has shocked the country with almost daily shootings and bombings.
3 people in 12 hours in one city was their last record. Gang-related killings have been steadily rising for years and they’ve currently reached a boiling point where dozens of people die every month just in Stockholm.
“Oh yeah, well, my uncle killed an entire playground full of kids. As retribution for another uncle who detonated a nuclear bomb on a factory making free antibiotics for the poor. Why just yesterday a bunch of hippies in Portland burned down a church full of worshippers because they don’t pray to trees. I don’t hear any Army choppers. This is America. We protect our own. Mostly. Sort of. We’re a young country, still workshopping as it goes.”

Dozens of people die in New York every week too. We don’t call in the army.
