Donald Trump demanded Rep. Jamaal Bowman be thrown in jail for triggering the fire alarm at a Congressional office building, calling it "worse" than January 6.
So he finally admits the January 6th criminals are criminals?
Bowman did intentionally try to prevent the house from executing their duties while in session. Even worse it was at a critical moment.
That shockingly enough is the correct accusation from Trump. That IS what January 6th insurrectionists did.
If this is actually as bad as it looks from the outside. He should receive a meaningful punishment.
While I agree that Bowman needs to be meaningfully punished for that shitty stunt let’s not water down the threat of Jan 6. Those people weren’t just interrupting legislation they were being aggressive and threatening violence as well. Unless Bowman tried to kill someone with that fire alarm calling it “worse than jan 6” is disingenuous and a dangerous view to promote.
Looks like he did the opposite. Minor infraction to let legislators read before voting, so their jobs. Yes he should be given a slap on the wrist and stand up for public recognition
