It’s always great to find out someone’s gone the extra mile. Do they just set up a tripod and upload them after the matches? Sounds like the club at least turns a blind eye, which is awesome to see - I would be so surprised if any MLS club did that. That being said, they’d probably be sued into oblivion by Apple TV.

No, they’re live streaming it, which I assume means there’s probably at least some support lol, given I got the link from the club itself. The sport is big here but the clubs aren’t cuz everyone watches the Premier League (or previously La Liga) so there’s probably enough of an audience for it to be worth it; the videos looked like they had around 500 views each. They even made match highlight videos lol

Link for anyone who wants to join me in supporting what used to be the biggest club in HK: https://www.youtube.com/@SNG130/streams

Annoyingly they used to be partnered with hotshits LOL but they’re the more “local” club as opposed to our rivals Kitchee which have historically been more of a foreigner’s club and sign more foreigners like most notably Diego Forlan

I’m ethnically Korean so I’m used to having to look past a seemingly automatic affinity for Sp*rs, so no worries there.

I was curious, however, about the name of the Youtube channel, I couldn’t for the life of me figure out what SNG130 was supposed to refer to. I actually had to, no lie, look up who won 4th place in this year’s 1st Division (having seen the team posing with the banner at the end of a recent match) to figure out which team you were actually referring to.

Yeah, I have no idea either LOL, I assume there’s a reason behind it though. South China AA was my club before even Arsenal cuz it was in its prime when I grew up with the Premier League Asia trophy and stuff, so I’m glad to have found a better way to support them.

Also that’s totally my bad on looking up the club lol, I didn’t think about the fact that the YouTube channel was in Chinese XD

I’m glad they have the livestreams too, seems like a great way to grow your fanbase when you’re in a limited market.

It’s all good, I enjoy a bit of sleuthing 🔍
