Hi,

hope this is the right way to reach out for assistance in subscribing to lemmy.world.

I’m attempting to paste [email protected] in my search bar using mastodon. Online web and the following error appears “Searching posts by their content is not enabled on this Mastodon server.”

Been on Mastodon with this account for months, but would like to check out Lemmy, though I seem to be misunderstanding how to subscribe and access it as a user.

    You cannot follow mastodon users from lemmy so I believe the other way round is also true.

    You can follow mastodon from kbin though, so you can try to connect to it (https://kbin.social/) and see if it works for you, lemmy and kbin talk to each other so you may see lemmy content on there.

    That’s what I’ve seen so far, I’m not an expert tho.

    Edit: or you could create an account directly on lemmy to subscribe to its communities, but that’s up to you ofc.
