The text messages described a series of actions Musk should take after he gained full control of the social media platform: “Step 1: Blame the platform for its users; Step 2: Coordinated pressure campaign; Step 3: Exodus of the Bluechecks; Step 4: Deplatforming.”

The strategy was to tank global leftist talking points and disperse the community. His donors are mega rich saudis, russians, and others who benefit from right-wing ideologies being implemented. A blind man could see this before the sun is up.

Also probably why Threads ever existed in the first place, in hopes of killing an uncontrolled venue in its infancy

No it’s not. The free money dried up and Reddit wants to go public. It’s no more nefarious than that.

People don’t get how much the modern internet grew because of shitty interest rates.

His donor was himself, Saudis only made up about 4% of the investment. He’s not making money off ruining Twitter, he’s just an idiot who got lucky in the dotcom bubble. Stop giving him so much credit because you like conspiracies. The evidence here is some MAGA nutjob sent Musk text messages… really?

It’s not a conspiracy that Elon runs interferance for conservatives and extremists and even Russia. It is not a conspiracy that he doesn’t like lefties and immediately proved it when he got the platform.

But it is a conspiracy that he bought Twitter with the intention of running it into the ground for the sake of those groups. He bought it because he got into an internet pissing match and when he tried to back out they threatened to sue his ass into the ground. The dude is a fucking idiot edgelord, it isn’t surprising that the only people he has left around him are similar.

You can bet your ass he’ll claim that was his goal the whole time though. Try to seem like a secret auper genius to anyone who will listen.

Yeah, the whole 9d chess game idea falls apart when you remember he was sued into buying it.

Unless… he wanted them to sue him for, um… some reason?

We also need to remember not to believe his hype - he’s not a super genius, he’s just a rich asshole who knows how to market himself. All the technological accomplishments his companies made were done by engineers, not by him.

I’ve been saying this for a while and have been called a conspiracy nut; or at minimum that it’s “unrealistic”.

      Well. Sweet vindication.

You got vindicated by a random user on a platform full of people with rather extreme views. If you say that anywhere else - you’ll still be a conspiracy nut. It’s not clear what he’s doing or why, one can only guess (or create conspiracies if you will)

Likewise. The guy is obnoxious, but you’d have to be pretty dense to believe he wants Twitter to succeed by any conventional metric.

You can make money off of stocks dropping. It’s called shorting an option.
