minus-squareClay_pidginlinkfedilinkEnglish14•1 year agoThat would seem reasonable, but it’s not the case. Article 1, Section 2 only says: The House of Representatives shall chuse their Speaker and other Officers; and shall have the sole Power of Impeachment.

Nope, literally anybody could be nominated.
That would seem reasonable, but it’s not the case.
Article 1, Section 2 only says:
When your country’s Constitution no longer has modern spelling, it’s time to revise it.
We could probably just update that word
If we can actually get the votes to modify it in any way, we need to do a lot more than that!
