Fox seemingly hated Futurama and loaded the creative team with production notes, so the creators opted for a bit of malicious compliance.

Reading that article reminded me a lot of what Alex Hirsch went through trying to make it through Disney’s S&P team for Gravity Falls. If you’re a fan of the show, This article is a fun read
“Not S&P Approved” has been approved by S&P.
This has to be the most accidentally funny stupidity that Disney has engaged in.
It’s way funnier in the narrated version with Clair de Lune playing in the background
Also fuck Disney for trying to rob us of the Blubs and Durland love story
Moonlight Sonata*
Though I feel Clair de lune would have been even better!
Nope. Clair de Lune is not only the name of the Debussy piece. From Wikipedia:
“Moonlight Sonata” and “Sonate au Clair de lune” mean exactly the same in two different languages and both are used to refer to Beethoven’s piece. If you wanted to be factually correct, the proper names for it are “Piano Sonata No. 14 in C-sharp minor” or “Sonata quasi una fantasia” but most people won’t immediately recognize those names as they would with either Moonlight/Clair de lune
Ah, obviously Lune is related to Moon, cool! I think when mentioning “Claire de Lune”, most people would associate it to Debussy’s work - at least in native English speaking countries
Damn, what a group of right cunts.
