Announce a ludicrous change. When people react poorly, announce a less horrible change and say, “we’re listening to your feedback”. Finally, the current leadership pulls the ripcord on their golden parachute and the remaining company gets to pretend they “got rid of the problem”. Repeat as needed for future enshitification.
Its sad that it works, but the new numbers they put out are indeed significantly dialed back. I dont like this new style of announcing changes either, but that’s the reality of companies that have min-maxed ways of getting money out of peoples wallets.
