I was curious about this too, and then thought “who cares, we’re here now, and I’m not sure it’s possible for them to do enough backpedaling to get me to come back.” Even if they completely undid everything from the past few weeks, there’s still the matter of trust, plus Lemmy just has a more wholesome community from what I’ve seen. Idk, in retrospect it feels like the TV was blasting news, politics, and commercials at full volume and now it’s ChiveTV with no volume, but current events on a chyron. It’s not holding my full attention like reddit did, but maybe that’s for the best, for all of us.
There’s been some reports that Reddit is removing posts that say “fuck u/spez” or have some picture of spez.
Also moderators aren’t allowed to comply with the results of those votes that some subs have held recently. So, if they change their sub to private or restricted, they break some rule, even though their users wanted that. And if they open the sub to rules voted by their users, they also break some rule.
