This morning I spent like 1 minute in a meeting wanting to say something scrolling in my head but the mouth was not cooperating at all with the words, so after a bunch of time and noises I just say “fuck the words” which actually worked and only then after pausing and waiting for the mouth to sync properly was I finally able to speak.

I have avoided zig for a long time because it felt weird for me. But after the Intellij interview with the creator and the claims of no AI I’ve finally sat through a bit of documentation and even the youtube videos.

I tried a bunch to replace what wa the default which is something google stuff I guess and they all behaved very weird or didn’t feel right. After configuring a bit I finally made HeliBoard work well enough. I like it.

There’s just a really fucking weird thing that is making me maybe look for something else: when there’s a typo in an input and pressing on the red squiggle if opens an horrible popup which I have no idea how to turn off and I tried everything.

Yeah that part from them was very disappointing. I was really hoping for the qt style integration to be maintained. I really want to do something that integrates well in our plasma/kde environments but don’t want to touch those weird languages to do it.

Hoping this new approach from qt is successful. They tried to maintain others like qt jambi but that is kinda of abandoned or wtv.

Being rust native with a ui language like qml and showing all their things working with 3 or 4 languages every release.

Good thing that it seems to be made in portugal where the minimum wage is half than that and where housing is currently being set at 50 or 60% of that wage.
