It’s actually for that reason why my family liked to joke about how the chicken were better at pest control than our cats especially every time we found a dead mouse in the coop or a cat getting bored of a mouse. Honestly the only reason my family keeped the cats we had was because people kept abandoning cats at my grandparents barn and we just find the poor little guys cute
