What, no. They follow the plans laid out by Marx. There just isn’t a mechanism to go from tyranny of the proles to true communism, so the get stuck.

I admit its been a decade since I read the manifesto, but there isn’t exactly a revised version out there. Communism is achieved by going through various stages. The second to last is tyranny of the proles, and the last is true communism. There is no mechnaism to move from tyranny of proles to true communism.
Beyond everything else, you can’t achieve communism in the way Marx laid out.
So you’re saying the current state of China and Russia is “tyranny of the proles”.
Didn’t know being born as the son of a political official and basically spending your entire life in politics made you part of “the proles”.

It’s like efficiency of machinery and rotating equipment. It can never reach 100%, but you can try to get close to it. 100% efficiency and communism are both unattainable ideals.
