    This why strong safety nets, public health care, unions, and good wages for even entry level work are so important. I think a lot of people turn their heads out of a legitimate fear of making their kids homeless.

    Climate issues intersect with pretty much every issue there is.

      I had all the safety, I had no family, and I still didn’t speak up irl, when my employer e.g. struck support contracts with oil companies and airlines, or when the new CEO told us that they would be visiting a different customer worldwide every day for the first couple of months. Eventually, I left quietly.
